These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your reservation of and participation in a Porch Pumpkin Co. porch display service ("Service"). By submitting a reservation or making a payment, you ("you" or "Client") agree to these Terms.
Porch Pumpkin Co. designs, delivers, installs, and removes seasonal fall porch pumpkin displays for residential and select commercial properties in the greater Chicago area. Every Service includes delivery of the selected package, on-site design and installation by our team, and removal of the entire display the week after Thanksgiving.
A reservation is confirmed when you complete the online reservation form and your card is charged in full. Payment is processed securely by Square at the time of submission; your reservation is not held until the charge has been captured. You will receive a confirmation email immediately after the charge is authorized.
All payments are processed by Square. Porch Pumpkin Co. does not directly handle or store your credit card or bank account information.
Your install week is scheduled by our team based on route density, weather, and material availability. Customers do not choose the specific install week. We install in weekly windows from early October through mid-November and will confirm your specific week by phone or text once assigned.
You do not need to be home at the time of install. Once the display is complete, our team will send a confirmation, typically with a photo of the finished porch.
You are responsible for providing safe, clear, and reasonable access to the install location. That includes keeping pets indoors, keeping the porch and entryway free of obstructions and hazards, and ensuring the surface is stable enough for a pumpkin display. If our team cannot safely install due to blocked access, aggressive animals, or unsafe conditions, we will contact you to reschedule. Additional delivery attempts may be subject to a rescheduling fee.
All pumpkins, gourds, hay, cornstalks, and other materials we deliver are intended for outdoor decorative display only. They are not intended for human or animal consumption. Porch Pumpkin Co. is not responsible for illness, injury, or damages resulting from consumption or from any use other than seasonal decoration.
Pumpkins are a natural product. Sizes, shapes, colors, and surface characteristics vary from one pumpkin to the next, and season-to-season availability of specialty varieties can change quickly. Where a specific variety listed in your package is unavailable, we may substitute a similar variety chosen to maintain the overall visual intent of the display. Substitutions are made at our reasonable discretion and are not a basis for cancellation or refund.
Photos on our website, marketing materials, and social media are illustrative of the style and quality of our work. They are not a guarantee of the exact final look of your display. Each porch is unique — size, geometry, entry style, color of the home, and the specific pumpkins available in your install week will all influence the final arrangement. Our team designs each display in-person to work with your porch, not to duplicate a specific photo.
Our displays include natural materials such as pumpkins, gourds, hay bales, cornstalks, and mums. Some of these materials, particularly hay and dried cornstalks, may trigger allergies or respiratory sensitivities in some people. By reserving a display, you acknowledge this and accept responsibility for whether these materials are appropriate for your household or property. Porch Pumpkin Co. is not liable for allergic reactions or related conditions arising from contact with the display.
The materials used in the displays are natural products. The pumpkins, gourds, hay, and cornstalks we use are chosen to hold up in typical fall weather. Extreme weather conditions — heavy snow, extended freezing temperatures, storms, and prolonged extreme heat — can accelerate softening or degradation of the display. Natural weathering is a normal seasonal outcome and is not covered by any refund. If you believe the display is degrading unusually before your scheduled pickup, contact us and we will assess whether a refresh is possible. Display refreshes are available at additional cost.
All displays are picked up during our scheduled pickup window the week after Thanksgiving. You do not need to be home for pickup, and no pre-scheduling is required on your part. If you would like the display picked up earlier or later than that window, contact us and we will accommodate when capacity allows. Out-of-window pickup may be subject to additional charges.
Once the display is installed, day-to-day responsibility for the property, the porch, and the display sits with you. Porch Pumpkin Co. is not responsible for pests, animal activity, theft, tampering, damage, or vandalism that occurs after installation is complete. If a display is significantly damaged or removed and you would like a partial refresh, contact us. If a refresh is possible, we will provide a proposal at additional cost.
Reservations may be cancelled for a full refund up to fourteen (14) days before your assigned install week. Cancellations made within fourteen days of install week are non-refundable, as our team will have already sourced the specific pumpkins and materials for your display. In our sole discretion, we may accommodate rescheduling to a later install week without cancellation charges when capacity allows.
Once the display has been installed, all sales are final and no refunds are available.
Our team may photograph or record video of finished porch displays for our own marketing use, including website galleries and social media. Any personally identifying information — house numbers, license plates, faces, mailing information — will be cropped, blurred, or otherwise removed before publication. If you prefer that we not photograph your display at all, notify us before your install week and we will note your preference on your reservation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Porch Pumpkin Co., its owners, employees, and contractors from any and all claims, damages, losses, expenses, and legal fees arising out of or related to: the use, handling, or placement of pumpkins or decor after installation; property damage, personal injury, illness, or allergic reactions caused directly or indirectly by the display or its materials; natural weathering or degradation of the display over time; and any failure to maintain, monitor, or safely dispose of the display after our removal window.
Porch Pumpkin Co.'s total liability under these Terms, for any claim of any kind, is limited to the amount you paid for the specific Service that gives rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of DuPage County, Illinois.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continuing to use our Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
